Veritas Prep (sold to Varsity Tutors) is a prominent admission and test prep provider. As Assistant Director of the admissions consulting group, Dakotah was a general manager and operator. She worked on website and account development as a product manager, created new products/services, and growth strategies. Dakotah learned so much more about gathering requirements, SEO, and even managing a virtual team: she oversaw about 90 consultants and hired nearly 20!

In this program management role, Dakoah managed S&C's summer associate program and orientation program. She proactively made  Excel solutions to manual processes to allow for smoother operations internally. She also was the primary partnership manager with all 26 law school partners and their career services directors. 

 

 

The Surrey Hotel

Front Office Supervisor

The Surrey had undergone a $65 million renovation and started over as a new luxury hotel; Dakotah was a part of the opening team of the new Surrey. She chose to work the overnight shift: it was the only immediate path to management as a front desk agent. She oversaw all of the hotel's departments and staff--an "acting" general manager overseeing all departments. She was the first front desk agent to be promoted within the year of opening.
